Talio
Challenge
Staffing agencies live or die by speed. A candidate who applies on Monday and hears nothing until Thursday has usually already accepted something else. But screening is the one part of recruitment that does not scale: every conversation costs a recruiter’s time, and the volume arrives in bursts nobody can staff for.
The result is a familiar bottleneck. Good candidates go cold waiting in a queue, recruiters spend their days on repetitive intake calls instead of on the placements that need judgement, and agencies that want to grow have to hire proportionally to do it.
Solution
Talio is an AI-native recruitment front office we co-founded and continue to build. It handles the repetitive front end of recruitment autonomously, so agencies can respond to every applicant within hours rather than weeks.
Conversational screening
The core of the platform is an AI that holds real screening conversations — by voice, by chat, or over WhatsApp, in more than 27 languages. Candidates answer in whatever channel and language they are comfortable with, at whatever hour they applied. Each conversation is structured against the requirements of the vacancy, so what comes back is comparable data rather than free-form notes.
The rest of the front office
Screening on its own only moves the bottleneck, so the platform covers the surrounding work as well:
- Outreach — automated phone and WhatsApp engagement to reactivate candidates already in the database
- Job matching — a conversational flow that assigns candidates to the vacancies they actually fit
- Resume analysis — scoring and structured data extraction for basic eligibility filtering
- Aftercare — scheduling and personalised feedback for every applicant, including the ones who are rejected
Fitting into existing systems
Agencies do not replace their ATS, so Talio integrates with the systems they already run on — Bullhorn, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Salesforce, Workable, TeamTailor and Carerix among them. The AI works inside the existing process instead of asking recruiters to adopt a new one.
Results
- A production platform running autonomous candidate conversations across voice, chat and WhatsApp
- Multilingual screening that lets agencies serve candidate pools they previously could not reach quickly
- Candidates receive a response and a decision path in hours, protecting the agency’s employer brand
- Recruiters spend their time on the judgement calls that need a human, not on intake
